Details:Roma, situated on the western slope of the great Divide, 300m above sea level, has the hot summers and cold winters common to most of Australia's wine producing regions and is home to the historic Romavilla Winery and Vineyards. The present Winery was built in 1878, and is a fine example of those large timber and corrugated iron buildings of yesteryear.

Varieties of grapes grown include Riesling, Chenin Blanc, Crouchen, Black Cluster, Shiraz and Muscats. The winery continues to produce luscious fortified and sauternes for which the winery became so well known in the 1950s and 1960s. Modernisation of winery equipment enables the production of interesting and quality table wines, also.
