Covering the areas of Kilcoy, Woodford and through to Caboolture, vineyards have been established in this region for approximately five years.

Sunshine Coast Hinterland
Many vineyards are being established in this region including Flaxton, Montville, Maleny, Kenilworth, Gympie and Eumundi. The vineyards have been showing promising results.

South Burnett
Located north west of Brisbane, the South Burnett is bordered by the Great Dividing Range and the flourishing red paddocks of Kingaroy. This region is the fastest developing wine area in Queensland.

Details:Opened February 2003, Hill of Promise Estate is a family owned and operated boutique winery and cellar door nestled in the heart of the Isis District. Located on the Bruce Highway just 4 kilometres south from Childers, we are half way between Brisbane and Rockhampton, 30 minutes from Maryborough and Bundaberg and 40 minutes from Hervey Bay. Our grapes are hand-picked and our wines are made in the traditional Old-world way utilising the natural wild yeasts of the vineyard.

The cellar door offers a truly personalised wine-tasting and sales experience.

Bed and breakfast accommodation is also available on site with two cosy, semi self- contained timber cottages.

>>Chardonnay 2002, 12.3% Alcohol. An unwooded Chardonnay, light and crisp with hints of green apples and bouquet of Alyssum.

>>Chardonnay 2003, 12.4% Alcohol. An unwooded Chardonnay, crisp and fresh with tones of orange blossom on the nose and with herbaceous notes of green pea and corn on the palate.

>>Two Fat Frogs Semillon 2003, 12.3% Alcohol. Crisp and zingy with nuances of gooseberry, kiwifruit, citrus and paw paw.

>>Verdelho 2003, 12% Alcohol. Crisp, fresh and herbaceous with hints of asparagus.

>>Beausite 2002, 12.5% Alcohol. A blend of Chardonnay/White Muscat - A Semi Sweet White with notes of fresh ginger.

>>Beausite 2004, 12% Alcohol. A blend of Chardonnay/White Muscat - A Semi Sweet White displaying soft citrus tones.

>>Ella's Pride 2003, 11.6% Alcohol. A blend of White Muscat/Chardonnay - A softly perfumed and light fruity Sweet White.

>>Rosa Luna 2004, 9% Alcohol. This rose is a blend of white and red Muscat. Light and refreshing with tones of rose, strawberry and white peach.

>>Red Velvet Merlot 2002, 16.7% Alcohol. Aromatic and lightly-oaked, this is a big, bold fruity red.

>>Uncle from Horton 2002, 11.4% Alcohol. A light-bodied blend of Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon, this Semi-Sweet Red is fruit-driven with a soft oak backbone

>>Nanna Gelso, 12.3% Alcohol. A red blend of Cabernet-Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot. This marriage of rich ripe grapes creates an aromatic sweeter-style red.

>>Three Right Hands Port, 19% Alcohol. A rich, full-bodied port aged in American and French oak to produce wonderfully complex flavours and echoes of fruity Christmas cake.

>>Noble Jim, A botrytis White Muscat 17% Alcohol. An elegant White Muscat with a bouquet of Eucalypts in full-bloom and long refreshing citrus-fruit characters that linger on the palate.
